About the Role
We are looking for a
strategic, revenue-first Head of Marketing
to own the
entire marketing engine end-to-end
— spanning Performance Marketing, Product Marketing, Social Media, Lifecycle, Brand, and Enterprise Pipeline Support. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on
building the ShopOS brand, scaling social presence, driving Shopify app growth, and generating significant pipeline and revenue.
You will lead a hybrid
PLG + SLG motion
with
high-ownership
, where success is defined by
business impact and not campaign execution
. This role will focus heavily on
driving growth within the US Shopify ecosystem
, scaling our
Shopify App Store presence
, and supporting
enterprise pipeline generation for Shopify Plus brands
.
What You’ll Own
Marketing Strategy & Revenue Ownership
Define and drive the
overall marketing strategy aligned with revenue, pipeline, and ARR goals
Align Performance, Product, Social, and Lifecycle under one unified growth vision
Build systems that convert
awareness

Work directly with founders to align marketing with
company growth priorities and revenue targets
Identify
funnel bottlenecks, conversion gaps, and growth opportunities
, and implement improvements
Identify latest marketing trends and adapt strategy to evolving US ecommerce behavior
PLG Growth & Shopify App Store Expansion
Own and scale
ShopOS’ Shopify App Store growth
, including
app listing optimization, rankings, reviews, and conversion rate improvements
Drive
self-serve acquisition and paid conversions
via Shopify App Store and web channels
Improve the
signup → activation → paid conversion funnel
Build and optimize
lifecycle marketing programs across onboarding, activation, retention, and expansion
Own
onboarding flows, lifecycle email journeys, and in-product messaging
to improve activation and monetization
Acquisition & Conversion Optimization
Own and scale
paid acquisition channels
including
Google, Meta, and Shopify ecosystem audiences
Drive
inbound acquisition through SEO, content, website optimization, and ecosystem channels
Improve
website conversion rates, landing pages, and user journeys
Run
continuous experimentation and A/B testing
across landing pages, lifecycle flows, and product messaging
Ensure efficient
CAC, conversion efficiency, and scalable acquisition economics
Enterprise Pipeline & Sales Enablement (SLG Motion)
Support
enterprise pipeline generation
through
account-based marketing (ABM)
and targeted campaigns
Develop
enterprise-grade marketing assets
including case studies, decks, and positioning
Enable founders and sales teams with
high-impact marketing collateral to improve enterprise deal conversion
Ensure marketing contributes directly to
qualified pipeline, revenue, and enterprise growth
Ecosystem Growth & Partnerships
Build and scale partnerships with
Shopify agencies, consultants, creators, and ecosystem partners
Drive acquisition through
ecosystem partnerships, integrations, and co-marketing initiatives
Strengthen ShopOS’
brand presence and credibility within the Shopify ecosystem
Support
founder-led marketing, thought leadership, and ecosystem visibility
Social Media Growth & Brand Authority
Own the strategy for growing
Twitter (X), Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
Understand
how each platform grows
, what content works, and what platform to bet on at different stages
Build a strong
founder-led and product-led social presence
Create content strategies around AI, ecommerce growth, product storytelling, and customer success
Identify the right audience segments and define
who to show what content to
Drive organic reach, engagement, and brand authority within the Shopify and ecommerce ecosystem
Turn social into a consistent
top-of-funnel acquisition engine
Budget & Resource Ownership
Own
marketing budget allocation and investment strategy
Allocate resources across channels based on
ROI, efficiency, and long-term growth impact
Balance
scaling proven channels and experimenting with new growth opportunities
What We’re Looking For
7–10 years of experience
in product marketing, growth marketing, or GTM strategy in
SaaS, AI, or ecommerce platforms
Proven experience owning and scaling
PLG growth and enterprise pipeline generation
Strong understanding of
how to grow Twitter (X), Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
Strong track record of owning and scaling the
full marketing funnel from acquisition to revenue
Experience driving
self-serve growth, activation, and paid conversions
Strong understanding of
conversion optimization, lifecycle marketing, and funnel efficiency
Experience working closely with
founders, product, growth, and sales teams
Strong
analytical and data-driven mindset
, with experience managing CAC, conversion, and revenue metrics
Experience managing and scaling
paid acquisition channels
Experience owning
marketing budgets and ROI-driven investment decisions
