Role Summary
:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance, accounts, audit, budgeting, and treasury functions, with a strong focus on Forex & Remittance operations. The role supports strategic decision-making through financial insights, ensures robust financial controls, manages investor and banking relationships, and drives process automation and efficiency in line with defined KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee all accounting, finance, and audit matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Supervise preparation of financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
Prepare and present monthly MIS, board decks, and investor reports, highlighting key financial insights and performance metrics.
Analyze financial data and benchmark performance against industry peers to support data-driven decisions.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Treasury
Prepare and implement financial processes including annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Assist in preparing monthly and annual projections for management and investors.
Support and manage banking, treasury, and fund flow operations, including coordination with banking partners.
Develop and strengthen understanding of Forex & Treasury operations, including exposure related to forex transactions, remittance settlements, and currency risk.
Forex & Remittance Operations Support
Work closely with operations teams to ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of forex and remittance transactions.
Monitor fund flows, settlements, receivables, and payables related to forex/remittance activities.
Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory requirements applicable to forex, remittance, and treasury operations.
Process Improvement & Controls
Formalize and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for monthly closures, fund management, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
Establish and maintain an Internal Risk Control Matrix, ensuring strong financial controls and regulatory compliance.
Implement automation and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
Audit & Compliance
Act as the single point of contact for statutory and internal audits.
Ensure timely completion of audits and closure of audit observations.
Maintain a statutory compliance calendar to ensure timely payment and filing of all statutory dues under Indian laws and regulations.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline fund flow processes, reconciliations, and recovery of receivables.
Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and vendors, strengthening stakeholder confidence.
Support investor relations alongside HOF, including MIS reporting and financial communication.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Exposure to Forex, Treasury, and Remittance operations
Experience with MIS automation and process optimization
Strong understanding of Indian statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance
Leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
Qualified CA
8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in Forex, Remittance, BFSI, Fintech, or Financial Services
Hands-on experience with audits, investor reporting, and banking relationships
