Role Overview:
The Manager – HSE will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental compliance across solar EPC projects. This role ensures the implementation of HSE policies, regulatory compliance, and proactive risk management, while fostering a strong safety culture across multiple sites.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. HSE Leadership & Compliance
Implement and monitor HSE policies, standards, and procedures across solar EPC projects.
Ensure compliance with statutory safety and environmental regulations (Factories Act, Electricity Act, environmental laws).
Maintain up-to-date licenses, permits, and HSE documentation.
2. Risk Management & Audits
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analyses (JSA) for project activities.
Perform regular HSE audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-ups.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, providing detailed reports and corrective recommendations.
3. Training & Team Development
Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for site personnel and contractors.
Mentor and support site safety officers and HSE staff to ensure compliance and performance improvement.
4. Emergency Preparedness & PPE Management
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and availability of PPE and safety equipment.
5. Reporting & Collaboration
Prepare regular HSE reports and KPIs for management.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Contractors to integrate safety practices into project execution.
Act as liaison with clients, regulatory authorities, and third-party auditors for HSE matters.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or HSE / Environmental Management.
Certifications:
NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certifications preferred.
