Job Summary:
The Finance Manager serves as the central bridge between the Indian parent company and its overseas subsidiaries, ensuring seamless financial alignment, unified processes, and compliance across borders. This hands-on role handles day-to-day Indian finance while coordinating reporting, remittances, and controls with global teams to support group growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bridge & global coordination
Act as single point of contact for overseas subsidiaries on all financial matters — liaising between Indian leadership, local accountants, and global teams across time zones.
Coordinate unified financial processes, chart of accounts, and reporting templates to enable easy group consolidation.
Facilitate regular financial sync meetings, dashboards, and updates to align strategies, budgets, and performance metrics.
2. Cross-border transactions & compliance
Oversee FEMA/RBI filings for remittances, loans, investments, and inter-company transactions between India and subsidiaries.
Track and ensure subsidiary compliance in local jurisdictions (e.g., tax, audits) while supporting group-wide standards like IND AS/IFRS.
Manage cash transfers, forex hedging, and treasury between entities to optimize group liquidity.
3. Budgeting, forecasting & analysis
Develop group-level budgets/forecasts by consolidating inputs from all subsidiaries.
Analyze variances, profitability, and ROI across entities; provide actionable insights to leadership.
4. Process improvement
Standardize finance workflows (e.g., invoicing, approvals, expense controls) across India and subsidiaries.
Implement simple tools/ERP for real-time visibility and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
CA / CMA / MBA Finance (preferred).
5–8 years’ experience, with proven exposure to group finance or overseas coordination in a mid-sized setup.
Required Skills:
Strong FEMA/RBI knowledge for cross-border ops; basic grasp of international compliance.
Excellent communication for bridging cultures/time zones; stakeholder management.
Hands-on Excel/accounting software; analytical mindset.
Hands-on role with small team + external consultants + global coordination.
