As the Senior Manager of IT Engineering, you will lead multiple India‑based engineering teams responsible for
StoreWeb
Modernization and Loss Prevention Engineering. You will oversee
people
leadership, modernization execution, operational reliability, engineering standards, and long‑term talent strategy across 20–30+ engineers and managers. This is a highly influential role—your leadership will shape
modernization
velocity, delivery predictability, architectural rigor, and global alignment across two enterp
rise platforms.
What you will do
Provide strategic leadership across
StoreWeb
Modernization and Loss Prevention Engineering,
establishing
direction, guardrails, and engineering excellence.
Lead, mentor, and develop a multi‑team India engineering organization (20–30+ FTE) including Engineering Managers and senior ICs.
Drive predictable end‑to‑end delivery: roadmap planning, risk management, sequencing, and cross‑team coordination with global partners.
Own modernization execution—ensuring secure, resilient, high‑quality delivery using Strangler‑Fig migration, CI/CD maturity, and
IaC
governance.
Establish operational reliability practices: incident response leadership, change‑failure reduction, on‑call readiness, and actionable post‑mortems.
Partner with Loss Prevention product, security, and analytics teams to build compliant, reliable, enterprise‑grade LP platforms.
Provide hands‑on technical oversight of architectures, designs, CI/CD pipelines,
IaC
modules, and observability tooling.
Shape organizational engineering excellence: review rigor, secure coding, Definition‑of‑Done standards, telemetry‑by‑default.
Drive workforce planning, hiring strategy, vendor partnerships, and budget stewardship for two engineering portfolios.
Deliver crisp, executive‑ready communication—clear risk articulation, status updates, and operational insights.
Create a culture of extreme ownership, urgency, accountability, and production safety across teams.
Minimum Qualifications

years in software engineering with 8+ years leading multi‑team engineering organizations.
Proven leadership
in
managing
the development of
large‑scale modern
retail/customer
-
facing applications.
Deep experience with
hosted
applications
(
Cloud and/or
on-premises
datacenters
).
Experience with
CI/CD (Azure DevOps), observability tooling, and
IaC
(Bicep/Terraform).
Strong communication
and influence skills across global product, architecture, operations, and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading engineering for retail/store systems or Loss Prevention technologies.
Azure Cloud Platform.
Enterprise business applications.
Hands‑on experience with SLOs, error budgets, and mature on‑call/incident practices.
Familiarity with APIM,
OpenTelemetry
, analytics tooling, and secure enterprise delivery patterns.
Experience
working with
distributed teams across geographies and aligning with U.S. stakeholders.
