Manager, Network Services
The Manager of Network Engineering
is responsible for
overseeing the planning, implementation, and optimization of complex network engineering projects while also managing the forecasting, planning, and coordination of enterprise network resource demand. This role requires a strong combination of technical
expertise
, leadership, analytical ability, and strategic vision to ensure seamless integration of network technologies, alignment of capacity with evolving business needs, and delivery of a secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure. The position bridges IT and business functions, ensuring network strategy supports both operational requirements and long-term growth.
What you will do:
Execute a comprehensive network engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
Oversee planning and execution of major network projects including technology upgrades, data center consolidations, cloud adoption, and global network expansions.
Evaluate and enhance existing network architecture, recommending improvements for design, capacity planning, and redundancy to ensure high availability and
optimal
performance.
Partner with network security teams to ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead and manage a team of network engineers and
managed
service providers in implementing projects and operational initiatives.
Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of network hardware and software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Negotiate vendor contracts and SLAs to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
Business Demand Management
Forecast and analyze demand for network resources across IT and business units.
Develop and
maintain
demand management frameworks, tools, and reporting dashboards to inform capacity planning and executive decision-making.
Monitor trends between demand and capacity, proactively
identifying
risks
and
recommending
mitigation strategies.
L
iaison with business stakeholders, Business Partners and technical teams around transformational demand, ensuring network services align with operational and strategic
objectives
.
Support annual budget planning and capital investments by providing
accurate
demand forecasts and justifications.
Facilitate demand planning meetings and governance reviews to ensure alignment, transparency, and accountability in resource planning.
Continuously improve forecasting models and planning processes to drive efficiency and agility.
What you need:
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or
a related
field. E
quivalent work experience/certifications in related technical discipline.
Hands-on
proficiency
with networking technologies: TCP/IP, OSI model, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, IPSEC, LAN/WAN protocols, BGP, QoS, Cisco routing/switching, Palo Alto firewalls, IDS/IPS.
Proven experience in network engineering, design, and implementation.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
Financial management
capability to forecast, create, and manage budgets and operating expenses.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and
identify
solutions to challenging business
problems.
Strong understanding of demand planning, capacity management, or IT resource forecasting.

Travel Percentage: 10%
