Role Summary
The Manager – Design (Plus Size) will build and scale the plus-size menswear category. This role involves end-to-end ownership of design, fit development, and range creation, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics, consumer needs, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Product Development
Lead design for plus-size menswear across categories (shirts, t-shirts, etc.)
Develop seasonal concepts aligned with brand direction
Ensure trend relevance while maintaining commercial viability
2. Fit & Technical Development
Develop and refine plus-size fits specific to target body types
Collaborate with pattern-making and sampling teams
Conduct fit sessions and ensure consistency across styles and sizes
3. Range Planning & Execution
Build assortments based on sales data, consumer insights, and market trends
Ensure depth in key styles and optimize SKU productivity
Work with merchandising teams on pricing and range structure
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with:
Merchandising (assortment planning, pricing)
Production (feasibility, timelines)
Marketing (campaign inputs, storytelling)
Ensure timely delivery from concept to final product
5. Consumer & Market Insight
Understand plus-size consumer needs, preferences, and pain points
Benchmark competition and identify market gaps
Translate insights into actionable design strategies
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
5–8 years of experience in menswear design
Experience in plus-size or extended sizing preferred
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern development
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Suite, etc.)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
