Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and implement AI and data-driven solutions using Azure OpenAI, with a focus on prompt engineering and optimization.
·
Write robust, efficient Python code for data processing, model integration, and workflow automation. Leverage Power Platform tools to automate business processes where needed.
·
Design, maintain, and query databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) for high performance, reliability, and scalability.
·
Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Apply strong business acumen to ensure delivered solutions drive measurable business value.
·
Work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and other engineers to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful project delivery.
·
Identify challenges proactively and develop innovative technical solutions to complex business problems.
·
Present technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Document solutions, write technical reports, and provide training/support as required.
Qualifications & Experience
·
6+ years professional experience in software/data engineering or related roles.
·
Minimum 3 years in Azure OpenAI, prompt engineering, and LLM solutions.
·
Strong proficiency in Python programming.
Expertise in SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.).
·
Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
·
Proven ability to solve complex problems using both technical and analytical skills.
·
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
The Team
The MDT group is focused on delivering differentiated service offerings through the use of new technologies such as Data Wrangling, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and Machine Learning. This group enables the Multi-state Tax Services (MTS) practice to drive profitability and growth, through application of emerging and existing technologies and enhanced utilization of Tax tools and software. We support MTS teams by assessing and addressing their data and technology challenges on client engagements, internal processes and data intensive projects to help achieve efficiencies, win clients and create differentiated services. With the exponential growth of accessible data, there is an increasing need to bring data and technology capabilities to help address client needs and support Deloitte MTS engagements and solutions.
