About the role:
We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and development of a network agent/driver for the macOS
environment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise in networking, system architecture, and macOS development. You will play
a key role in shaping core components, influencing technical direction, and delivering robust, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:
- Lead the design and implementation of a macOS-based network agent/driver
- Define scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and make strategic engineering decisions
Development:
- Build and maintain core components in Objective-C and/or Swift for macOS
- Develop low-level networking functionality and integrations
- Contribute to backend or cross-platform components using Golang
- Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability
Collaboration:
- Work closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and architectural discussions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in networking concepts (TCP/IP, sockets, protocols, packet flow, etc.)
- Proven experience in system design and architecture
- Hands-on experience building macOS applications using Objective-C and/or Swift
- Experience developing system-level or agent-based software
Preferred Skills:
- Passion for building reliable, scalable, and secure systems
- Experience with macOS system, networking frameworks
- Familiarity with security and endpoint protection technologies
- Background in performance optimization and debugging low-level issues
- Experience working in distributed or cross-platform environments
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy
