The Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible to manage and oversee logistics operations, including import/export, local dispatches, and warehouse management in accordance with Valmet Supply Chain Guidelines and ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & EXIM Operations
Manage import/export and shipping activities as per EXIM policies, taxation regulations, and foreign trade guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.
Handle export incentives and duty-related processes.
Coordinate with suppliers, shippers, customers, and Internal stakeholders and departments like Sales, Planning, Estimation, Production, Finance, Quality, Maintenance
Plan and execute shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Warehouse Operations
Oversee goods receipt and generate GRN in ERP (Infor LN).
Ensure proper material identification, labeling, and storage.
Maintain optimal warehouse utilization and organization (5S standards).
Ensure FIFO compliance and proper inventory handling.
Monitor stock levels and avoid stock-outs of critical items.
Inventory & Documentation
Maintain 100% inventory accuracy and conduct periodic stock counts.
Generate daily goods receipt and stock reports.
Ensure timely submission of invoices and documentation (E-invoice, E-way bill, etc.)
Maintain records for audits and compliance.
Manage scrap/rejection processes and disposal.
Supplier & Process Management
Monitor supplier performance (OTD, quality, payment terms).
Handle supplier claims and quality-related issues.
Support production through timely material availability.
Optimize workload distribution within the team.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to HSEQ guidelines, company policies, and code of conduct.
Ensure safe and efficient operations across logistics and warehouse functions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
On-time delivery (OTD) of materials
Inventory accuracy and ITR levels
Cost control and zero demurrage
Compliance with logistics regulations
Zero excess or aged inventory
Error-free documentation
Experience & Qualifications
8–15 years in logistics/supply chain in manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or Supply Chain/Logistics.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and INCOTERMS.
Warehouse and inventory management expertise along with Domestic transportation procedure knowledge.
Team player attitude to cooperate and build relationship in a matrix, multi-cultural, international environment and within the own team.
Experience of using ERP systems (preferably Infor LN).
Understanding of transportation and logistics processes.
Good command on languages Marathi, Hindi, English is preferable.
Operating knowledge of all latest Computer packages is preferable.
