Job Description We are looking for a Linux Architect who will drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of hybrid IT infrastructureâspanning on-premises Windows/Linux ecosystems. This position will be Full-time and Hybrid -Bangalore. What Youâll Do Develop and implement Azure-based Infrastructure solutions Manage Azure services such as Virtual Machines, VM Scaleset, AGW, LB, App Services, AKS, Docker, Storage, Networking, IAM, Azure Site Recovery. Develop and manage disaster recovery strategies and plans for mission-critical applications and infrastructure. Design and implement solutions for Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, GPO, RDS, IIS and related services Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation and operational guidelines for cloud and on-premise solutions Lead, manage and execute end-to-end obsolescence and migration upgrade and projects Assess existing infrastructure and applications for cloud readiness. Develop detailed migration roadmaps, timelines, and risk mitigation plans. Determine appropriate migration tools and methodologies (lift-and-shift, re-platform, refactor). Define and execute a unified IT infrastructure strategy combining on-premises services Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Backup (Veeam, Netbackup), Storage (Netapp, Dell, Pure), Network (SAN switch, Brocade),) with cloud platforms (Azure IaaS/PaaS, AWS) Manage, implement and support virtualization platforms VMware ESXi/vCenter, VSAN Maintain accurate on-premise and cloud infrastructure, processes, runbooks, and policies. Integrate backup and DR architectures seamlessly with infrastructure, security, and application layers. Performance and capacity planning across hybrid environments. Act as a subject matter expert for Azure cloud, Wintel, and on-premises escalation and support Security & Compliance Implement best practices for identity management, RBAC, and data protection Ensure infrastructure meets internal company security standards Support vulnerability management and audit readiness Leadership & Resilience Architect and manage backup and disaster recovery plans across environments (onâprem & cloud). Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and IT teams; mentor engineers; oversee and ownership of IT projects. Automation & Integration Implement scripting including automation to simplify and optimize infrastructure systems Integrate enterprise systems like storage solutions (Netapp, Pure, Dell), storage networking (Dell, Brocade, SAN Switch), backup tools (Veeam, Netbackup), and third-party applications What You'll Need Required Cloud Skills: â¥10 years experience in Azure design, implementation, migration, provisioning, VM management, network config, backup/monitoring, disaster recovery. Automation & Scripting: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible; Infrastructure-as-Code experience. LINUX expertise: : â¥10 years managing Linux systems (RHEL at least) and Linux ecosystem Soft Skills: Leadership, communication Wintel Expertise: â¥10 years managing Windows Server (2012â2022+), Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, clustering, server/storage infrastructure, DHCP, RDS, PKI, IIS, Virtualization & Storage: Proven experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter and VSAN plus enterprise storage (Netapp and Pure) and Enterprise Backup (Veeam and Netbackup). Soft Skills: Vendor and project management, stakeholder alignment, mentorship to support group Bachelors Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalen Certifications: Azure/AWS Administrator/Architect, Microsoft MCSE/Azure Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, ITIL Foundation Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Terraform, Azure CLI) Experience with cloud-based and on-premise DR solutions Containers/IaC knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes) is desired Certifications: Enterprise Backup Solutions (Veeam, Netbackup) is advantageous Basic Linux Administration Skills (RHEL, Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian) is desired Physical Demands This role involves mostly sedentary work, with occasional movement around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a computer, using a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
