General description: The Sabre User Experience team creates compelling, consistent, and highly usable experiences for the travel industry. We approach our projects with high standards, utilizing best practices to deliver consumer-grade user experiences. As a Lead User Experience Designer, you’ll engage your design skills as part of a team of dedicated user-centered design professionals, working with Product Managers and Developers to create innovative user experiences. Your contributions play a critical role to the overall success of the project and across our portfolio.  What you will do: Estimate and schedule user experience deliverables, aligning with business commitments of time and budget. Lead discussion on the vision and future state of products. Engage in early discovery and planning activities with stakeholders and customers. Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Development teams to define user goals and requirements. Conduct research to understand the product, the users, business needs and market opportunities. Create designs that achieve user goals and business objectives. Leverage our enterprise design language, aligning your project work with Sabre’s design standards for usability, accessibility and functionality. Produce interactive prototypes, aligning with project requirements and best practices for software application development. Education: Bachelor degree in faculty related to design, computer science or psychology. Experience: 8+ years of design and prototyping experience. Experience with complex applications such as financial services, business to business tools or e-commerce type products is preferred. Design across screen sizes for mobile, tablet, and desktop. Collaborate with Product Managers on user goals and requirements. Partner with Development on technical aspects and execution of designs. Leverage an enterprise design language. Apply design thinking principles and methodologies. Participate in and/or conduct user research and usability testing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Certifications and academic achievements in UX, HCI and Usability are preferred. Project management experience and skills are a plus.
