Job Description Job Description - Lead Test Analyst   Hybrid Tester play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications by manually executing test cases and identifying bugs or issues and providing required support in automation testing as and when needed. Work closely with developers and QA teams to validate that the software meets requirements and provides a seamless user experience.  You will report to the QA Lead, work alongside the QA teams, product and development teams to ensure a high standard of quality in our products. You will carry out functional testing on our products. You will have the chance to test modern products based on Microsoft .NET technology.  You will design, maintain and execute suites automated tests using modern languages and tools such as C#, Visual Studio, Selenium, Playwright, JavaScript, Java and Microsoft Azure DevOps.  You will also be responsible for creating and reviewing defects, tracking their progress from their discovery through to their resolution, ensuring that they are adequately documented and tested.  Over time your role will grow and become more varied as you begin to test a larger variety of products across the NEC SWS. We are a committed and supportive team with a ‘can do’ mindset.  Key Responsibilities  Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements  Develop automated testing frameworks and scripts to validate software functionality and performance  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software  Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and team efficiency  Provide detailed documentation of testing processes, results, and test coverage metrics  Oversee test architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability of automation solutions.  Promote shift-left testing practices and support developers in embedding quality.  Designing and executing automated tests on the latest revisions of the software.  Interpreting requirements from existing manual test cases and specification documents.   Liaising with Testers and / or Business Analysts to understand the requirements.  Liaising with the product and development teams to ensure that our backlog is up to date  Providing estimates regarding the test effort required to complete work.  Raising bugs and liaising with the development team from discovery through to resolution  Setting up and configuring the testing environment and associated database(s)  Preparing the test execution report and sharing it with stakeholders.    Required technical skills and experience  5 to 10 years of experience in Testing web/desktop/mobile based applications  Experience developing and executing automated test cases for User Interfaces  Experience with C# / Java using Selenium or equivalent tools  Detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to quality  Proactive attitude towards continuous learning and improvement  Understanding of API and Mobile applications testing  Experience with cloud-based testing solutions    Required soft skills and experience  Clear and concise communicator  Able to prioritise between several tasks at any one time  Able to work independently and as part of a team  Detailed and effective written communication skills for documenting the features tested and bugs found  Highly organized, detail oriented, extremely responsive  Be comfortable discussing technical aspects of projects with other testers, developers & business owners.  Desirable skills and experience  Experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA or equivalent tools  Experience using Selenium or equivalent tools  Experience using BrowserStack or equivalent cloud-based tools  Usage of latest AI tools.  Experience testing User Interfaces and databases  You'll have ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certifications or equivalent certifications or be working towards achieving them.  Experience coordinating with external/Offshore QA resources  Qualifications Graduate Additional Information Graduate Graduate Graduate
