About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer.
In this role, you will:
Perform CI/CD Administrator and Infrastructure management activities for CI/CD tools like JFrog Artifactory, Github SaaS, Github Actions, Jenkins, Harness and AI Code assistants(like Github Copilot and Claude Code). These activities include planning and executing Changes and CTasks for Upgrades, Updating Infrastructure capacity, other Lifecycle activities, planning and executing BCP exercise, Vulnerabilities remediation, alerts analysis and improving availability over time.
Respond to and resolve Incidents in a timely manner – whether user reported or system alerts – on supported Infrastructure to maintain high level of system availability and stability
Maintain SLAs, uptime, incident response, and triage workflows for all Incidents.
Create and maintain operational runbooks for standard incident categories and problem management.
Work per on-call schedule (morning/evening shifts over weekdays/weekends) and ensure coverage
Partner with vendor teams for raising incident cases, escalations and deep‑dive troubleshooting.
Review/enhance monitoring, logging, dashboards and health checks for supported tools and Infrastructure.
Operate with an SRE and Automation mindset viz.
Establish/review metrics to review and manage capacity, performance, error rate, etc. regularly to pro-actively manage scale, performance and stability
Determine and detail out potential automations in manual Support activities and add to the Automation backlog.
Participate in Platform Problem management process to determine root cause and Preventive actions to prevent future incidents and alerts
Interact and build a strong relationship with multiple teams like Engineering teams and CIO application teams.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Expertise in Technology Infrastructure operations in the area of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GithubActions, Harness, Artifactory, etc.
Good Understanding of SDLC tooling — CI/CD, GitHub Actions, artifact repositories, enterprise proxies, security controls.
Experience with monitoring, operational dashboards, alert configurations, log analysis, Incident Troubleshooting and management
Experience with supporting CI/CD tools deployed on-premise and on cloud, running on Kubernetes and Virtual machines.
Desired Qualifications:
Expertise in Technology Infrastructure and Administration of CI/CD tools
like Jenkins, GithubActions, Harness, JFrog Artifactory, etc.
Good knowledge of python and experience of using it to automate Infrastructure operations
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure Support for one or more of: GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, Cursor IDE, Claude Code or similar GenAI Coding Assistant
Experienced in creating alerts, creating dashboards and using Observability and monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ThousandEyes
