This role combines strategic architectural ownership, hands-on software development, and technical team leadership. </p>
<p>As a Lead Engineer, you will define and evolve system architecture, ensure engineering best practices, and remain deeply involved in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems. You will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of the platform while mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of ownership and quality. </p>
<p>Working closely with Product, DevOps, and other engineering teams, you will translate business requirements into robust, cloud-native solutions built on Java and AWS. This role requires someone who can think strategically, act decisively, and still enjoy writing high-quality production code. </p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </p>
<p><strong>Architecture & Technical Strategy</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Own and lead the design of scalable, resilient, and maintainable system architectures </li>
<li>Define architectural standards, engineering best practices, and technology direction</li>
<li>Ensure alignment between system architecture and long-term business objectives</li>
<li>Drive architectural reviews and make high-impact technical decisions</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Hands-On Development</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Actively contribute to the codebase in Java (Spring Boot, microservices)</li>
<li>Design and implement high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems</li>
<li>Lead by example through clean code, code reviews, and engineering discipline</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and scalability challenges</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Cloud & Platform Engineering</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Architect and build cloud-native solutions on AWS (ECS, EC2, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS)</li>
<li>Design scalable database solutions (MySQL/PostgreSQL) with a focus on performance and optimization</li>
<li>Guide containerization and orchestration strategies (Docker, Kubernetes)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Technical & Team Leadership</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the team</li>
<li>Support career growth and elevate engineering standards</li>
<li>Lead technical planning, estimation, and execution</li>

<li>Partner with Product and stakeholders to shape technical solutions</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Operational Excellence</strong> </p>

<li>Ensure reliability, observability, and performance through monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)</li>
<li>Promote DevOps practices and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)</li>
<li>Drive engineering quality, scalability, and operational readiness</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Skills and Qualifications</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Spring, Hibernate, J2EE)</li>
<li>Proven experience leading system architecture in distributed/microservices environments</li>
<li>Strong expertise in AWS-based cloud-native application development</li>
<li>Deep understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and system scaling strategies</li>
<li>Strong experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading engineers or technical initiatives</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to operate at both strategic and implementation levels</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders</li>
<li>Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience</li>
</ul>
