Our Team
You will be part of a global software engineering team responsible for organization's equipment software, which controls advanced X‑ray inspection systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. The team works cross‑functionally with hardware, systems, algorithm, and field teams across the US and India to build reliable, high‑performance equipment software.
Your Opportunity
As part of this team, engineers will work on software for complex electro‑mechanical and X‑ray systems. For senior engineers and the lead role, this position provides strong opportunities to:
Influence system architecture and technical direction
Take leadership in organization’s emerging Advanced Packaging initiative
Drive execution across C# and Python based systems
Grow new division and set the roadmap and priorities with organization's leadership
Work closely with global teams on next‑generation inspection platforms
Roles and Responsibility
Technical ownership of major subsystems within APX software
Design and review software architecture for controls, hardware abstraction, and system workflows
Attract and build an engineering team with expertise in semiconductor inspection software and controls
Regularly communicate with core team on roadmap and strategy
Provide technical guidance and code reviews
Collaborate with hardware, systems, and algorithm teams on end‑to‑end solutions
Drive best practices in software quality, reliability, and maintainability
Support system integration, debugging, and customer escalation
Our Ideal Candidate
Experience in designing high reliability software for automated semiconductor inspection
Understanding of team structural needs and demonstrated technical leadership
Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
Experience working on complex, hardware‑coupled software systems
Ability to work in a global, cross‑time‑zone engineering environment
Clear communication and teamwork skills
Education & Work Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science
Work experience - 10-15 years ( 70% Technical role + 30% Team Management)
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in C# and Python, or similar system‑level programming languages
Experience with real‑time systems, equipment control, or industrial automation software preferred
Experience interfacing with hardware (motion controllers, sensors, imaging systems, or similar)
Solid understanding of software design principles and object‑oriented programming
Experience with Windows-based development environments
Strong math and geometry skills
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in semiconductor equipment, metrology, or inspection tools
Knowledge of X‑ray systems, imaging pipelines, or data acquisition systems
Experience with multithreading, performance optimization, and real‑time constraints
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices
Experience working with distributed global teams and thoughts on best practices
