About the role
As a Lead QA Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a team of QA engineers and leading the entire quality assurance process. You’ll drive the development of automation frameworks and ensure that high-quality software products are delivered.
Responsibilities:
Lead the QA team in designing, developing, and executing test strategies and automation frameworks.
Own the quality process from test planning to post-release validation and support.
Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to meet quality standards.
Develop and optimize automation scripts using Selenium, TestNG, and Pytest.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, encouraging best practices and a quality-first mindset.
Track and report QA metrics, including defect density, coverage, and test execution.
Identify and drive improvements to testing processes and practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks, particularly Selenium, TestNG, and Pytest.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

In your first 30 days, you will:
Gain a deep understanding of the company’s mission, tech stack, and product landscape.
Meet with cross-functional teams to familiarize yourself with workflows, goals, and challenges.
Understand the application, identify issues, and contribute by testing, reporting defects, and supporting minor improvements.
Contribute to minor fixes or enhancements to get hands-on experience with the platform.
In your next 30 days, you will:
Take ownership of a feature or module by planning, executing tests, and ensuring quality throughout the release.
Propose and implement optimizations or improvements in the current system.
Actively participate in planning sessions, offering insights and recommendations.
Establish yourself as a go-to problem solver and collaborator within the team.
