Job Description:
Role Overview: The Senior Claims Business Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes related to claims management. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and vendors, to ensure efficient and effective claims processing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the P&C Claims System in Indian Insurance and be familiar with insurance industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, or Insurance).
10-15 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain preferably Duck Creek Claims system.
Expertise in documentations including BRD, FRD, technical documents.
Good experience in User stories creations.
Strong expertise with Indian Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance practices preferably into Motor insurance.
Experience in working with Agile environment.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
Claims Process Analysis: Analyze end-to-end claims processes, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, rating, and claims handling.
Identify gaps, pain points, and areas for improvement.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Knowledge in Duck Creek Claims System (v11 or v12) and On-Demand.
Well-versed with Indian Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance practices.
Provide demos of the system during reviews.
Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication between business units, internal team leads, and IT.
Provide clear and concise communications to clients and stakeholders.
Support executive management teams with relevant insights.
Problem-Solving and Documentation: Solve complex business problems related to claims processing.
Document business rules, requirements, and functional specifications.
Maintain documentation using tools like MS Word and Excel.
Offshore Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with offshore resources.
Ensure seamless communication and support across teams.
Insurance Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the complete insurance value chain, including submission, quotes, policy administration, billing, and reinsurance.
Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
Familiarity with JIRA is advantageous.
Remote Work Capability: Ability to work remotely while maintaining accessibility and productivity.
