The Lead Architect will be responsible for leading architectural design and coordination for large-scale
Metro Rail and Airport infrastructure projects
. The role involves concept development, detailed design, authority approvals, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead architectural design for Metro stations, depots, airport terminals, concourses, and allied infrastructure.
Develop concept, schematic, and detailed design drawings.
Coordinate with structural, MEP, BIM, and civil teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, airport/metro authority standards, fire norms, and sustainability guidelines.
Manage design documentation, BOQs, specifications, and tender drawings.
Attend client meetings and presentations; address design comments and revisions.
Liaise with consultants, contractors, and government authorities for approvals.
Review shop drawings and ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design teams.
Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Technical Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of Metro and Airport design standards.
Experience in transit-oriented development and public infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, SketchUp, and MS Office.
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards.
Familiarity with NBC, fire safety norms, and international aviation standards (where applicable).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Architecture.
Registered Architect (preferred).
Experience in reputed infrastructure or design consultancy firms.
