Job Summary
The
Keyboard Facilitator
is responsible for teaching keyboard skills and music fundamentals to students across different grade levels. The facilitator will help students develop musical skills, rhythm, creativity, and performance confidence while supporting school music programs and events.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Teach
keyboard techniques
to students of various age groups and skill levels.
Develop structured lesson plans for beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners.
Teach basic to advanced keyboard skills including scales, chords, finger exercises, and melody playing.
Introduce students to
basic music theory
, rhythm, and notation reading.
Train students in hand coordination, posture, and timing.
Student Development
Prepare students for school performances, concerts, and competitions.
Train students for individual and group performances such as school bands or ensembles.
Provide individual feedback to improve musical performance.
Encourage regular practice and performance readiness.
Curriculum & Planning
Design age-appropriate keyboard learning modules.
Select suitable musical pieces based on students' skill levels.
Maintain records of student progress and performance.
Collaborate with other music teachers for integrated music activities.
Performance & Event Support
Support school assemblies, annual day events, and cultural programs.
Assist in organizing rehearsals and music performances.
Accompany students during performances when required.
Professional Responsibilities
Maintain keyboards and related equipment properly.
Ensure safe usage of instruments and accessories.
Participate in staff meetings and school activities.
Stay updated with modern keyboard teaching techniques.
Qualifications
Diploma or Certification in
Keyboard / Piano / Music
(Preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree in
Music or Performing Arts
(Preferred).
Minimum
1–3 years of experience
teaching keyboard in schools or music institutes.
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in
keyboard or piano playing
.
Knowledge of music theory and rhythm patterns.
Ability to teach students of different age groups and skill levels.
Good communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to train students for stage performances.
