About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support our Aircraft Program Management team. Working closely with the Program Manager and senior team members, you will assist in day-to-day scheduling, cross‑functional coordination, risk tracking, and execution support across the aircraft development lifecycle from early design and prototyping to testing and certification. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute in a fast-paced aerospace startup environment, while collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Certification, Test & Evaluation, and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Support planning, execution, and delivery of assigned program workstreams under guidance from senior team members
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, work breakdown structures, and milestone trackers aligned to program goals
Help translate high-level program objectives into actionable tasks and timelines for engineering and cross-functional teams
Coordinate project meetings such as kickoffs, design reviews (PDR, CDR), and status check-ins; capture meeting notes and track action items
Monitor project timelines and highlight potential risks or delays to senior stakeholders
Maintain project dashboards, timelines, and reports using tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms
Assist in identifying and tracking project risks, issues, and mitigation actions
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to follow up on deliverables and resolve basic blockers
Support weekly standups, status tracking, and documentation of progress across teams
Track supplier deliverables and assist in coordination of procurement and qualification activities
Assist in maintaining project documentation including schedules, meeting notes, action logs, and risk registers
Support certification-related tracking by aligning project activities with regulatory timelines and documentation needs
Prepare regular status updates and summaries for internal stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons-learned documentation
Typical Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
2–3 years of experience in project coordination, engineering support, or program management roles, or completion of relevant internships
Basic understanding of project management principles, scheduling, and task tracking
Exposure to engineering product development environments (aerospace, automotive, robotics, or similar industries is a plus)
Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent is preferred
Basic knowledge of hardware development lifecycle (design, prototyping, testing) is desirable
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with supervision
Proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset and eagerness to grow in project management
