Join Our Team as a Jira Administrator Location: Andheri Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for a Jira Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize our Jira environment to support project tracking, agile methodologies, and team collaboration. You will handle user management, permissions, plugins, custom fields, issue types, workflows, and Jira configurations, ensuring smooth operations across teams. Additionally, experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, SQL, and JQL will be an advantage for integrating Jira into development and operational workflows. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities 1. Jira Administration & Customization Manage and maintain Jira to ensure stability and optimal performance. Configure projects, workflows, issue types, screens, custom fields, and screen schemes. Develop and implement custom dashboards, reports, and automation rules. Administer and configure Jira plugins and third-party integrations. 2. User & Permission Management Manage user roles, groups, and permissions to ensure proper access controls. Maintain security and compliance by enforcing best practices in user management. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to users. 3. Customization & Automation Configure and manage Jira settings, general configurations, and notifications. Develop custom work items, workflows, and automation to streamline processes. Utilize JQL (Jira Query Language) to create advanced filters, dashboards, and reports. 4. Integration & DevOps Collaboration (Added Advantage) Work with Jenkins, Kubernetes, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines to integrate Jira with development workflows. Enable DevOps automation by integrating Jira with Bitbucket, Git, Confluence, and other tools. Assist in performance optimization and troubleshooting related to integrations. 5. Continuous Improvement & Support Identify and implement process enhancements to improve Jira adoption. Troubleshoot Jira-related issues and provide technical support. Knowledge & Skill-set Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years as a Jira Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of Jira administration, JQL, workflows, issue types, and permissions. Ability to manage general Jira configurations, custom work items, workflows, screens, screen schemes, and settings. Hands-on experience in Jira plugin administration and third-party integrations. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple teams. Added Advantage (DevOps & Automation Skills) Experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Jira API scripting for automation and integrations.
