<li>Transcribing complex technical requirements to the programming languages and parameters required to generate the software solution designed.</li>
<li>Helping others solving complex technical problems and coaches others on best practices in software engineering.</li>
<li>Designing, coding and implementing software and systems using modern patterns of software development for functionality and scalability within their functional team or limited functional/business area.</li>
<li>Designing and implementing performant software using documented algorithms and methods of software optimisation within a limited set of functional/business areas.</li>
<li>Implementing quality software applications of medium-high complexity within a limited set of functional/business areas, without clear requirements.</li>
<li>Programming language expertise in one or more languages in our ecosystem, such as Java, Javascript, Swift/iOS, Android, Kotlin, Golang.</li>
<li>Expertise in engineering practice, including deep and up to date knowledge of engineering and architectural principles including banking industry architectural frameworks e.g. BIAN/BaaS.</li>
<li>Proven experience owning the whole SDLC, of software design and implementation, security, cloud, infrastructure as code and CI/CD.</li>
<li>A passion for enhancing your knowledge and evidence curiosity in emerging technologies.</li>
<li>An advocate of Agile delivery methodologies.</li>
<li>Practise TDD/BDD using tools and framework such as Cucumber & Postman.</li>

<p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications</strong></p>

<li>Excellent understanding of <strong>Java 8+</strong></li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of <strong>OOP and design patterns</strong>, including benefits and limitations.</li>
<li>Excellent understanding of <strong>data structures </strong>and algorithms, Big O notation and performance analysis.</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of<strong> Spring and Spring Boot.</strong></li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of architectural patterns.</li>
<li>Experience in designing architecture, including choosing the right tech stack.</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of <strong>git or similar version control.</strong></li>
<li>Solid experience in building <strong>RESTful APIs.</strong></li>
<li>Solid experience with both <strong>relational and non-relational databases,</strong> database architecture and distributed transaction management.</li>
<li>Experience with distributed architecture principles and solutions for performance, scale and reliability.</li>
<li>Experience working on Microservices.</li>
<li>Experience building and packaging components and services, <strong>cloud (AWS)/on-premises deployments, CI/CD,</strong> monitoring and observability.</li>
<li>Experience working with<strong> containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).</strong></li>
<li>Experience with <strong>Maven/Gradle/Ant.</strong></li>
