Bough is a decidedly different kind of advisory, assurance, and transformation solutions firm. Working collaboratively with clients in finance, audit, and compliance organizations, we co-create integrated solutions that connect people, processes, and technologies to navigate accounting, reporting, and compliance matters.
Our services include finance and accounting advisory, revenue assurance, FP&A advisory and support, risk advisory, and process automation and transformation.
We are busy and sometimes crazy busy delivering exceptional results to our clients with trust, quality, and humanness. Our name 'Bough' means the main branch of a tree - a name that keeps us grounded in nature and emphasizes our belief that we wish to be the main branch on which our clients and employees lean with trust.
For any position we are hiring, we don’t just want you to be an ambitious, analytical, multi-skilled, risk-taking go-getter for Bough. We want you to be more. More for yourself and for anything you undertake. Socially responsible, intuitive, empathetic, trustworthy, thoughtful, imaginative, creative, and curious are some words that resonate with us. Your skills are a qualifier, and we believe that each of us is much more than the skills we bring to our job - the person we are looking for…
Role Overview
We’re looking for an architect of stability and velocity - someone who can see the entire system (its edges, blind spots, and opportunities) and bring order where there is complexity. A mind that refuses to accept “good enough.” The foundation is set. Help us make it unshakeable.
Key Responsibilities
Own IT operations end-to-end: buy → provision → support → secure → retire
Run identity and access: SSO/MFA, user lifecycle, least-privilege enforcement
Manage endpoints and devices: laptops/mobiles, MDM, patching, asset tracking
Operate core systems: email, productivity suite, conferencing, VPN/network
Own security hygiene: policies, monitoring, vulnerability management, incident readiness
Standardize tools and the stack: choose what scales, simplify what doesn’t
Support office infrastructure: Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, printers, new office setups
Build documentation and playbooks; run a dependable, measurable helpdesk motion
Qualifications and Experience
2+ years in IT administration/IT ops with growing scope and ownership
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Engineering or equivalent experience; relevant certs a plus (e.g., AZ-104, Okta, JAMF, Network+)
Hands-on experience across identity (Okta/Azure AD/M365), MDM (Intune), endpoint security, and patch orchestration
Strong background operating collaboration suites (Microsoft 365), conferencing platforms, and VPN/network gear
Demonstrated experience hardening environments (MFA, device compliance, CIS benchmarks) and responding to incidents
Proven track record building/maintaining asset inventory, joiner–mover–leaver processes, and access reviews
Comfort supporting a growing firm (≈60–100 people) with global needs and high pace
Preferred Skills
Owner mindset: you treat IT like a product; reliable, secure, simple
Strong judgment: you balance risk, uptime, and user experience without overbuilding
Hands-on operator: troubleshoot, configure, and ship improvements quickly
Security-aware by default: understands controls, access, and practical threat reduction
Systems thinker: anticipates failure modes; tightens seams before they split
Clear communicator: calm under pressure; translates technical decisions for non-technical teams
Documentation discipline and service orientation; bias to action in deadline-driven environments
