IT Process Automation Architect Description - Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Master Engineer to serve as the IT Architect for IT Process Automation and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Champion. This critical role will lead IT automation initiatives and oversee the full deployment and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery across servers, storage, and network devices in data centers. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a strategic vision to transform and optimize IT operations. Key Responsibilities 1. IT Process Automation Delivery Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex IT process automation solutions across infrastructure and operations. Drive innovation in automation strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and improve service reliability. Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on automation best practices and frameworks. 2. CMDB Champion Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of CMDB architecture, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Fully deploy and optimize ServiceNow Discovery across servers, storage, and network devices in data centers. Define and enforce governance policies to maintain the integrity and health of the CMDB. 3. Architecture Leadership Act as the chief architect for IT process automation, providing strategic direction and innovative solutions to support evolving business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and secure IT solutions. 4. Technical Problem Solving Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and resolution. Analyze and resolve performance and integration challenges across IT systems. 5. Collaboration and Mentorship Partner with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity, to deliver high-impact solutions. Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Education & Experience Recommended Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Typically 10+ years of relevant work experience in programming, IT automation, or infrastructure management. Proven expertise in IT process automation tools and frameworks (ServiceNow, Ansible, or similar). Extensive experience with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB design, deployment, and governance. Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure — servers, storage, and network devices. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Certifications Certification in one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar). ITIL certification is a plus. Experience working with on-premises, cloud, and hybrid IT environments.
