IT Delivery Manager, HR, QHSE and Analytics
Job Description
We are looking for an
IT Delivery Manager, HR, QHSE and Analytics
to join our team. In this dual role, you will act as the IT counterpart for our HR and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment functions, while leading a team of developers located in our India hub. You will combine end‑to‑end service ownership with people and delivery leadership, ensuring our HR and QHSE solutions – with Workday integrations as the main focus area – are reliable, compliant and continuously evolving to meet business needs.
The team you lead will work on development in reporting & analytics and finance areas. In this role, you will act as the local head of the team, providing day-to-day leadership and supporting the team’s development and performance. The team will work in close cooperation with global teams and stakeholders, requiring strong collaboration across locations and alignment on shared objectives and delivery plans.
Main responsibilities
IT service & solution ownership
Act as the key IT partner for
HR and QHSE
, participating in the design, development and testing of IT solutions to meet current and future business needs
Own the
end
‑
to
‑
end application and service lifecycle
, from design and implementation to operations and retirement
Align and prioritize development together with stakeholders and ensure alignment with Valmet’s IT strategy
Maintain roadmaps and development plans together with the Domain Lead and Enterprise Architect
Serve as a trusted IT SME towards business and functions, with strong understanding of
HR and QHSE
processes
Serve as a backup for
global and local HR & QHSE applications
, ensuring continuity of support and service operations
Team lead & delivery responsibility
Lead and develop a
team of developers in the India hub
, providing clear direction, priorities and support
Ensure effective delivery of development and integration work, balancing quality, speed and cost
Support team members’ competence development, ways of working and engagement in a global setup
Collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth end‑to‑end delivery

The IT Management Processes team designs, delivers and manages the lifecycle of solutions in
HR, QHSE and Reporting & Analytics
areas.
Requirements
We are looking for an open‑minded, development‑driven team player who enjoys versatile challenges. A strong background in IT or HR/QHSE, combined with experience of Workday platform, working in global environments and people leadership, will help you succeed in this demanding position.
To be successful in this position, you need to have:
Degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in IT or another relevant field
3–5 years of experience in relevant IT solution or service management roles
Experience in
service, development and/or project management
Experience with Workday
, especially with
integrations
Ability to work in a global, multicultural environment
Development‑oriented mindset with ambition to continuously improve ways of working
Fluent written and spoken English
