Who are we:
Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.
Role Overview:
The IQC Electrical Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming electrical and electronic parts to ensure they meet specified quality and safety requirements before being released to production. The role includes electrical, visual, and functional checks using defined inspection plans, documenting results, and preventing non-conforming materials from entering the production line.
What You’ll Do:
Inspect incoming electrical and electronic parts (wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, relays, PCBs, sensors, motors, batteries, chargers, etc.).
Follow AQL sampling plans to determine sample size and accept/reject criteria.
Perform electrical checks using:
Multimeter
Continuity tester
Insulation resistance tester (Megger)
(if applicable)
Verify parts against:
Engineering drawings and specifications
Wiring diagrams and pin-out details
Electrical ratings (voltage, current, resistance)
Conduct visual inspection for:
Damaged insulation
Improper crimping or soldering
Connector damage
Bent pins, loose terminals
Burn marks or discoloration
PCB Defects
Labeling & Traceability
Prepare Incoming Inspection Reports (IIR) and raise NCRs for rejected materials.
Segregate OK / NOK / On-hold materials and ensure traceability.
Update inspection results in records / ERP systems.
Ensure proper handling and ESD-safe storage of electrical components.
Check calibration status of electrical testing instruments.
Coordinate with SQA, stores, production, and suppliers as required.
Who Can Apply?
Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / EEE / ECE Engineering.
Basic knowledge of electrical inspection and testing methods.
Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Understanding of AQL sampling (preferred).
Awareness of ESD handling practices (added advantage).
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Good to have:
Digital Multimeter
Continuity Tester
Insulation Resistance Tester (Megger)
Power Supply (basic testing)
Test jigs and fixtures
ESD wrist strap and mat
