Role Overview
The Investor Relations & FP&A Manager will play a critical dual-role in managing investor
communications and driving financial planning & analysis for a fast-growing FinTech lending platform.
This position will act as the strategic interface between investors, senior leadership, and internal finance
teams, while also owning core FP&A deliverables including forecasting, performance analytics, and
management reporting.
The role requires strong expertise in investor relations, financial modeling, regulatory awareness (NBFC
/ FinTech), and business partnering in a high-growth, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Investor Relations & Communication
• Act as the primary point of contact between the company and existing / prospective investors.
• Develop and execute investor communication strategies covering financial performance, KPIs,
portfolio metrics, and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare investor presentations, quarterly updates, earnings decks, data packs, and board
materials.
• Organize and conduct investor meetings, conference calls, and periodic update sessions.
• Ensure consistent, accurate, and transparent messaging aligned with management and regulatory
requirements.
2.
Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with institutional investors, lenders, and
strategic partners.
• Address investor queries, data requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Proactively engage investors to understand expectations, covenant sensitivities, and information
needs.
• Partner closely with CEO, CFO, Business Heads, Legal, and Compliance teams.
3.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Analyze product-level and portfolio-level performance on a regular basis and provide actionable
insights for improvement.
• Analyze financial data, trends, and unit economics to provide insights and recommendations to
senior management.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecast processes for the lending platform.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans to support business planning
and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models covering revenue, disbursements, AUM, yields,
credit costs, operating leverage, and profitability.
• Conduct variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, and identify key drivers of
financial performance.
• Prepare projections and provide financial modeling support for strategic initiatives, new products,
partnerships, and fund-raising.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Risk, Operations, Technology, Sales) to support
strategic initiatives and drive business results.
• Assist in preparation of presentations and financial insights for executive management, board
meetings, and key stakeholders.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial planning
and analysis.
• Prepare competitor benchmarking and industry analysis to support strategic decision-making.
4.
Financial Reporting, MIS & Investor Deliverables
• Work closely with accounting teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
• Own preparation and dissemination of monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS packs covering
financials, KPIs, product performance, and portfolio metrics.
• Ensure consistency between MIS, statutory financials, management reporting, and investor
disclosures.
• Prepare and review investor reports, lender reporting packs, earnings updates, and performance
dashboards.
• Design and continuously improve MIS frameworks to enhance decision-making and management
visibility.
• Support automation and standardization of reporting processes for scalability and accuracy.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports, earnings releases, and investor communication materials.
5.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
• Stay updated on applicable regulatory requirements (RBI, NBFC norms, investor disclosures).
• Support preparation of regulatory and investor-related filings.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on corporate governance, shareholder
communication, and disclosures.
6.
Market Intelligence & Investor Insights
• Track industry trends, competitor performance, funding environment, and macro factors impacting
FinTech / NBFC sector.
• Monitor investor sentiment and feedback to identify risks, opportunities, and communication gaps.
• Provide structured insights to leadership to improve investor confidence and valuation narrative.
7. Shareholder & Investor Events
• Coordinate shareholder meetings, investor days, roadshows, and conferences.
• Manage end-to-end planning including content, logistics, data rooms, and follow-ups.
Key Qualifications & Skills
• Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA, CA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Proven experience in Investor Relations, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of FinTech / NBFC lending business models and metrics.
• Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial analysis tools (BI tools preferred) and AI/Agentic AI.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Working knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment with cross-functional collaboration.
