We're currently seeking passionate individuals who are excited about the opportunity to contribute to an industry-shaping company while growing their own skills and careers.</span></em></p></div><p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>Telnyx infrastructure team is building a next-generation platform that spans across multiple cloud providers and multiple continents. We leverage the Telnyx private backbone network with cross-connects to major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud to build a cloud-agnostic, highly available platform. With our lean team, we're currently running infrastructure in 10 PoPs and 3 continents.</p> <p><strong>In This Role You Will</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions for managing databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and others, both in virtualized environments and Kubernetes clusters.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering to identify and resolve pain points in managing large-scale, high-availability database infrastructure.</li> <li>Lead the migration of existing database services from VMs to Kubernetes, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitions.</li> <li>Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and performance tuning for on-premise database systems.</li> <li>Implement and manage observability, logging, and alerting systems.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Must-Have Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of professional experience in infrastructure operations, especially in Linux-based systems.</li> <li>Expertise in at least one deployment and orchestration technology (Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform), with a focus on deploying and managing stateful applications</li> <li>Skills in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar, to automate workflows and manage infrastructure.</li> <li>Hands-on experience managing at least one relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL</li> </ul> <p><strong>You’d Be A Good Fit If You Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with non-relational databases such as Cassandra, OpenSearch, or other distributed data stores.</li> <li>Familiarity with streaming and messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ, including scaling and monitoring in a distributed setup.</li> <li>Proficiency in observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or others to ensure system performance and reliability.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Points For:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of service discovery tools like Consul, or similar technologies, would be a great advantage</li> </ul> <p><strong>Growth Opportunities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as a strength multiplier to product engineering efforts.&nbsp;</li> <li>Learn about every technology stack used at Telnyx.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work at the intersection of the social and the technical, with growth opportunities in both.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-KG1</p> <p>#LI-REMOTE</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div>
