nJob Summary
Manages indirect tax compliance and reporting processes efficiently. Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax data handling. Supports audits and implements tax process improvements.
Key Areas of Responsibility
•
Ensure timely compliance and quality of Indirect Tax (VAT, GST, Sales and Use etc.) filings as per local regulations, timely payments, and tax recoveries.
•
Ensure that the financial statements present a correct, fair, and updated representation of indirect tax liabilities/assets and risks.
•
Ensure adequate control over the Indirect tax process across the organization, including review of the internal framework and completion of internal control self-assessments.
•
Perform an adequate risk assessment and management of Indirect tax related processes.
•
Fulfil requests from regulatory & tax authorities. Resulting in change request and development projects including UAT testing.
•
Support local businesses with indirect tax related commercial operations support.
•
Act as country point of contact for local tax administrations, in countries with no physical Group tax presence.
•
Responsible for maintaining withholding tax master data and documentation for non-payroll related withholding taxes (where applicable); and for maintaining tax master data in 3rd party tax software that interfaces with SAP.
•
Drive Lean WoW in Indirect tax organization through simplification, harmonization of processes & controls to improve quality of compliance.
•
Ensure all stakeholders in Indirect tax process (Group tax, other finance pillars, third-party providers, IT, local businesses) are engaged and aligned to ensure smooth operations of Indirect tax process.
Qualification & Work Experience, Key Skills /Competencies
Chartered accountant with minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience
Proficiency of Excel, SAP and any other ERP Software
Collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills.
High energy, strong sense of urgency, self-motivated and results-oriented
