As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Responsibilities:
SAP MDG Functional Responsibilities
Design and configure SAP MDG for domains such as Material, Vendor, Customer, and Finance.
Define data models, UI configurations, business rules, and approval workflows.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into MDG solutions.
Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Support MDG-related enhancements, testing, and production support.
Data Migration Responsibilities
Lead and execute data migration activities for SAP implementations, upgrades, or rollouts.
Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading using tools such as:
SAP LSMW
SAP Data Services (BODS)
SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC, LTMOM)
IDocs, BAPIs, and custom programs
Coordinate with functional and technical teams to ensure data readiness and cutover success.
Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation strategies.
Data Quality & Governance
Define and implement data quality rules and validation mechanisms.
Monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Support data stewardship and master data lifecycle management.
Documentation & Training
Prepare functional specifications, data migration strategy documents, test scripts, and user manuals.
Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for business users and support teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
, Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years of experience in SAP MDG and data migration projects.
Strong knowledge of:
SAP MDG configuration and workflows
Master data domains (Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance)
Data migration tools and techniques (LSMW, BODS, LTMC)
Data quality and governance frameworks
Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP MDG certification.
Experience with SAP Fiori apps for MDG.
Exposure to SAP Information Steward or SAP Master Data Integration (MDI).
Knowledge of GDPR, SOX, or other data compliance standards.
Experience in industries like manufacturing, retail, pharma, or utilities.
