Study Customer Requirements & develop machine concept and systems requirements as per scope of delivery for special-purpose machines, process machines, assembly and testing machines
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software – Autodesk Inventor. Develop detailed drawings and specifications for components and assemblies
Analyze and optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance.
Perform stress analysis and other engineering calculations to ensure design integrity.
Create and maintain engineering documentation such as BOMs, drawings, and test plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and maintain design standards and best practices
Implement design improvements based on project learning and industry trends. Stay abreast with technological advancements and best practices
Support and ensure compliance with ISO audits, RB guidelines, central directives, Statutory & Regulatory authorities, machine safety CE norms, UL Standards for export machines.
Skills Required :
Proficient in 3D model software preferebaly Autodesk Inventor
FEA analysis using Inventor / Ansys
Statistical tolerance calculations / GD&T
Additional knowledge / experience :
Automation technologies applicable for automotive industry
Understanding of manufacturing process
Materials and Heat treatment / Surface treatment
Industry standards, codes and regulations
B.E - Mechanical
Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in design of special-purpose machines / process machines / assembly and testing machines is a must
