An ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Engineer
Designing of robust network, communication, and software systems
. Responsible for ensuring high-performance, secure, and reliable IT infrastructure—including servers, cabling, and security systems—through technical troubleshooting, system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
Designing hardware/software (servers, routers, switches) and Technical Equipment including HVAC and power systems. CCTV, access control and Fibre optics network knowledge.
System Design & Integration:
Designing network architectures, wireless networks, and low-voltage structured cabling for commercial/residential projects.
Security & Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to cybersecurity best practices, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
Vendor & Project Management:
Liaising with suppliers/contractors, documenting technical specs, and assisting with project timelines. Ve
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in LAN/WAN technology, IP addressing, routing protocols, firewalls, and server administration (Linux/Windows).
Software Skills:
Experience with network monitoring tools, databases, and scripting (e.g., Python).
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
To produce preliminary and detailed designs, including Telecommunications, Data, IPTV, SMATV, AV, BMS and Electronic Safety and Security, in conjunction with consultants and other stakeholders
Participate in project design and coordination meetings
Assist with the putting together of commercial internal and external bids
Contribute to the production of tender documentation
To ensure that all design work meets with the relevant technical standards
To provide Head of department with summary reports as required
Carry out site inspections and witnessing testing and commissioning
Responsible for site implementation of IT, Telecom, Security system (Access control, CCTV, Intercom, Gate barrier), Audio Visual system (Digital signage, IPTV, Meeting room/Training room requirement, Public Address and Background Music) and Guest Room Management system services as per project requirement
Coordinate with discipline / ICT&S Engineers to prepare “Lessons Learned” report and submit to SQM/SHOE
Provide ICT and System Design Consultancy for buildings including Data Centres
Good practical understanding of ICT/ Telecom / ELV systems
Good understanding of building systems related to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing
Design acumen for IP CCTV and PAVA will be an added advantage
Cisco networking system understanding will be an added advantage
Knowledge and a user of Microsoft Office productivity tools
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field
