<p><strong>Senior HR Generalist<br></strong>at Convera</p>

<p><br><br>The <strong>Senior HR Generalist</strong> for India is a key member of the global People Services function, responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality HR support to employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle. Working under the direction of the Director, People Services (based in the US), this role provides hands-on HR advisory, case management, and operational delivery — ensuring that Convera’s People processes are executed effectively, compliantly, and with empathy.<br><br>This role is based in India (hybrid role with the ability to travel) and provides support to employees and managers in India, and other geographies as assigned.<br><br></p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<br><br>Employee Relations & Case Management:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and people managers within assigned region.</li>
<li>Provide balanced, compliant, and empathetic HR advice on employee relations (ER), performance management, and policy interpretation.</li>
<li>Act as a trusted consultant in ER and performance cases — guiding managers through issue diagnosis, documentation, and resolution.</li>
<li>Manage ER cases end-to-end, from when a concern is raised, to conducting an effective investigation, and delivering recommendations, including disciplinary action.<br><br></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Employee Lifecycle Management:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver operational excellence across onboarding, mobility, promotions, performance, and offboarding processes.</li>
<li>Partner with HR Tech, Payroll, Benefits, and other COEs to ensure seamless execution of employee transactions and changes.</li>
<li>Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and suggest improvements to streamline workflows and enhance employee experience.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Compliance & Risk Management:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Comfortable leading, advising, and ensuring compliance across the full spectrum of HR responsibilities.</li>
<li>Ensure all HR activities and decisions comply with relevant labor laws, internal policies, and audit requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate HR documentation and data integrity across all employee records and systems.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Employee Experience & Engagement:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver HR services with empathy and clarity, ensuring every interaction reflects Convera’s values.</li>
<li>Support the execution of training, engagement, and well-being initiatives within the region.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Continuous Improvement & Collaboration:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contribute to projects aimed at standardization, automation, or simplification of HR processes.</li>
<li>Proactively share knowledge and best practices to build functional capability and cohesion across regions.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience required:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, People Advisor, or HR Operations role within a global or matrixed organization, preferably with experience in an international role spanning multiple APAC countries.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of local labor and employment laws and ability to interpret and apply policies in context.</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage employee relations cases effectively and confidentially.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills; capable of coaching and guiding people managers.</li>
<li>Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and high data accuracy.</li>
<li>Experience using HRIS platforms and working across time zones in distributed teams.</li>
<li>Experience contributing to HR process improvements or automation initiatives preferred.</li>
