We're looking for a GSA - F&B Service to join our dynamic hospitality team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. In this role, you'll be the face of our food and beverage operation, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, genuine hospitality, and a commitment to excellence. You'll work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience while maintaining our high service standards.
Greet and seat guests warmly and courteously, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
Present menus, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
Maintain table setup and cleanliness according to hotel standards and organizational guidelines
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and preparation methods to assist guests with informed recommendations
Coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service delivery
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating to supervisors when necessary
Adhere strictly to hygiene, grooming, and safety standards to ensure a safe dining environment
Assist with billing procedures, cash handling, and payment processing while maintaining accuracy and integrity
Support setup and breakdown for banquets, special events, and themed dining experiences
Organize and manage assigned station to optimize efficiency and guest service
Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues and sharing best practices
Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or equivalent qualification
0–2 years of hands-on experience in F&B service within a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality establishment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated positive attitude, team spirit, and collaborative work ethic
Proficiency in cash handling, billing procedures, and basic POS (Point of Sale) system operations
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and move efficiently throughout the service area
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing situations and guest needs
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and service protocols
Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure during peak service periods
Preferred: Experience with restaurant management software or digital ordering systems
Preferred: Multilingual abilities to communicate with international guests
