The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end category management, including product strategy, assortment planning, pricing, and vendor relationships. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, market knowledge, and business acumen to drive category performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy:
Develop and implement a strategic roadmap to drive category growth, profitability, and market share.
Product Assortment & Development:
Identify gaps in the category, introduce new products, and optimize the existing portfolio.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
Conduct market research to understand trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating the best terms for pricing, margins, and supply chain efficiency.
Pricing & Promotion Management:
Define pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and discounts to optimize revenue and customer acquisition.
Sales & Performance Analysis:
Monitor category performance using key metrics (sales, margins, inventory turnover, conversion rates, etc.) and take data-driven actions to improve outcomes.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, sales, supply chain, and digital teams to enhance category visibility and customer experience.
Inventory & Demand Planning:
Ensure optimal stock levels, minimize stock-outs, and manage demand forecasting effectively.
Customer Insights & Experience:
Utilize customer feedback and behavioral data to improve product selection and overall category experience.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with Specialization in Marketing, Product Management, or a related field.
Senior Professional with 10 years + experience in product management, preferably in Solar Business.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills.
Hands-on experience with pricing strategies, demand planning, and inventory management.
Strong leadership and communication skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.
