Work you'll do
As a Gen AI python Developer Assistant Manager on the USI DT Canada team, you will be responsible for:
Designing, developing, and delivering back-end solutions using Python and Azure to support business and client requirements.
Providing technical direction to team members on design decisions, development challenges, and delivery priorities.
Supporting solution development activities including data preparation, data mining, feature engineering, and application integration.
Ensuring delivery quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and compliance with enterprise security, data protection, and documentation standards.
Collaborating with offshore and cross-functional teams, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve delivery approaches and adopt new technologies.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in back-end development using Python and web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
Experience integrating, deploying, and optimizing solutions in cloud-based environments, including Azure.
Experience designing and implementing Azure-based web applications with performance, scalability, and security considerations.
Experience applying software design principles and design patterns, including SOLID, Factory, Strategy, Observer, and Singleton.
Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot for code suggestions, refactoring, unit test creation, or documentation support.
Knowledge of enterprise security, data privacy, and compliance standards.
Preferred:
Experience in Generative AI projects.
Understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and AI technologies.
Working knowledge of SQL databases.
