Job Title: Senior Associate – Functional QA / Software Testing
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented
Senior Associate – Functional QA
with 3–5 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
manual/functional testing
, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and translate them into detailed
test scenarios and test cases
Perform
functional, integration, system, and regression testing
to ensure application quality
Execute test cases, log defects, and track them through resolution using standard defect management tools
Participate in
test planning, estimation, and execution activities
across releases
Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
Support
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
and production validation activities
Ensure adherence to
SDLC and Agile processes
, including sprint ceremonies and reporting
Maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test results aligned to project standards
Required Skills & Experience
3 to 5 years
of experience in
Functional / Manual Testing
Strong knowledge of
Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
and
SDLC methodologies
Hands-on experience in:
Test case design and execution
Defect management and reporting
Test data preparation and validation
Good understanding of
Agile/Scrum methodologies
Exposure to testing tools such as
JIRA, ALM, or similar tools
(based on typical internal practices)
Basic understanding of:
SQL / Database testing
API testing concepts (preferred but not mandatory)
Core Competencies
Strong
analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases
Good
communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a
team-oriented environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Good to Have
Experience in
Financial Services domain
Exposure to
test automation concepts
Understanding of
CI/CD or DevOps processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
