Aladdin is used both internally within BlackRock and externally by many financial institutions. Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading, and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making and create   a connective   tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide.   Our development teams are embedded within the Trading Engineering group. Together, we drive the evolution of trading technology that transforms how   Aladdin   interact s   across global investment firms. We design and deliver applications that enable the seamless execution of trades, support a wide range of trading workflows, and handle millions of orders passing through our systems every day. By supporting mission-critical trading applications, we empower thousands of users worldwide to efficiently manage and execute trades on behalf of clients, ensuring speed, accuracy, and reliability at scale.     Being a member of   Trading   Engineering, you will be:   Tenacious: Work in a fast paced and   highly complex   environment   Creative thinker:   Analyze   multiple solutions and deploy technologies in a flexible way.   Great teammate: Think and work collaboratively and communicate effectively.   Fast learner: Pick up new concepts and apply them quickly .   Show Initiative:   Demonstrate   your proactive attitude by   identifying   opportunities for improvement and acting on them .     Qualifications:   B.E./ B.TECH./ MCA or any other relevant engineering degree from a reputed university.   7 + years of experience     Skills and Experience:   Proven experience   leading and managing a team of four or more engineers    F ostering a collaborative environment and driving projects to successful completion.    Strong leadership and mentorship skills are essential to guide team members and support their professional growth.   The candidate is expected to actively   participate   in coding while also providing effective leadership and management to team members.   7 + years of experience in full stack software development using Java   1 7+ and JavaScript related technologies (React Preferred).   Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Object Oriented Programing concepts and design patterns.   Experience working with Spring Framework and Spring Boot web services.   Experience   working with Rest APIs and   GraphQL   is a plus.    Strong knowledge of Open-Source technology stack (Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Maven, JUnit, Kafka,   Ignite   etc.).   Demonstrate an ability to build real-time applications or apps that process large volumes of data yet   remain   highly responsive even in high-latency environments.   Experience working with   end users, and UX designers when building user interfaces.   Exposure to the whole web stack, including protocols, web client server performance   tuning   and optimization techniques.   Experience with   the Agile SDLC , with a quality-first mindset and high test-coverage, using test frameworks like   Cypress, Jest , Mocha,   Karma   etc.     Competencies:   Passionate about delightful user experience, building high quality, responsive, persona-based UIs to meet the needs of the future.   Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.   D etail oriented, consistently ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of their work.   Experience or a real interest in finance, investment or portfolio management processes, and   an   ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.   Experience taking emotional ownership of the design and development of a significant application, system, or key   component . Ability to form positive relationships with partnering teams, sponsors, and user groups in a distributed team environment.
