Understand requirements handed over to you
Turn requirements into architecture (or at least contribute some in architecture provided to you)
Write tasks in issue tracker detailing even the most subtle steps required to accomplish the task
Write code. Frontend code. Backend code. And DevOps code
Test code
Deploy code on servers
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
You may have a few years of experience. OR You are fresh out of college – but you have already spent a few years in programming
during your college
. Any programming language is fine. Any grades are fine. Dropouts welcome!
Practice:
You have single-handedly coded at least 5 decent sized projects – with
you alone in the team
.
OS choice:
You love using your Linux desktop for writing code. You have spent at least a few months facing Linux terminals
Habits:
You read a lot. You confidently understand every word of a Technical Documentation. Scarce Documentation is not a problem for you.
After joining:
You go through every word in the Engineering Handbook at Smarter.Codes. Practice it on dummy projects. Or even contribute to our handbook
Attitude:
You often say ‘I do not know’ when you are in doubt. And you have longed to ‘be sure’.
WHAT YOU GET
Salary:
Somewhere between ₹4,80,000 to ₹12,00,000 per annum (dependent on your work experience). Often paid through weekly payments
Stock options:
You may receive stock options in one of our startups as a bonus (we are aiming for at least half of the team at Smarter.Codes to have stock options). This can even be double-digit equity in a “wannabe unicorn startup”!
People:
A mix of geeky, frugal, and seasoned professionals to work with. See who you would be working with on a daily basis. This could be a lot of learning!
Paid leaves:
15 days in a year. Pick the dates for yourselves when you wish to stay unavailable. Cater to your social/personal engagements with ease, or make your own holiday calendar
Flexibility:
To work from anywhere and anytime during the week. With a minimum of 40 working hours a week
Ability to work on Linux systems
Good Programming Skill . Preferably MERN stack and python
Basic DevOps Knowledge.
contribution to any open source project is a plus

Exposure to Micro service architecture is a plus
