The role
Senior Roto Artists are responsible for creating high quality perfect mattes and articulate mattes to help Paint Artists and Compositors to integrate seamlessly all elements of a shot to the highest level of VFX photo-realism.
Key skills
Create roto mattes for Composite/paint dept to use with an understanding of how the mattes will be used.
Handle complex shots, with elements in multiple layers, extensive motion blur and focus pulls.
2D Tracking, camera tracking and planar tracking in both Silhouette and Nuke
Take ownership and responsibility of the roto task, actively engaging in problem-solving to address potential issues.
Previous experience in rotoscoping using Silhouette or Nuke.
Understand feedback given by lead or supervisors.
Work with the team, within the studio and globally.
Desire to learn and mentor junior artists.
