The role
As a Senior Layout Artist, you'll handle both pre-viz and post-viz of shots, elevating storytelling through thoughtful camera work, character blocking, and a strong grasp of composition and staging. You'll help define the visual language of each sequence, ensuring consistency and cinematic flow across shots.
Key skills
Proficiency in Maya ( Experience working within Houdini-based pipelines is an added advantage.)
Strong visual storytelling, composition, and layout skills
The artist should have prior experience in Camera Tracking with a strong understanding of Matchmove principles.
Capable of handling retimes, re-racks, and repo shots as required by the sequence or editorial changes.
Set up full CG shots, camera takeover shots and sequences based on storyboards or previs, ensuring strong cinematic flow and visual continuity.
Maintain spatial continuity, scale, and perspective across all shots within a sequence.
Work collaboratively with Supervisors and key departments such as Animation, Environments, and Assets to ensure creative alignment and technical accuracy.
Experience working on high-end VFX projects
