As a freelance compositor, you will be working alongside other members of the 2D team and will be responsible for delivering world class level shots, combining live action and cg elements, matching the vision and creative direction of the Visual Effects Supervisor throughout various high-end film and tv projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Working in collaboration with the 2D Supervisor and Visual Effects Supervisor to evaluate the creative and technical approach to assigned shots
Taking briefs and direction from Leads and VFX Supervisors to execute assigned shots in the best and most efficient way possible.
Balancing the creative and technical aspects of the assigned shots
Ongoing communication with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines
Taking responsibility for own workload, time management and notes/feedback
Meeting schedules and show deadlines
Required Skills:
Strong ability in all aspects of compositing in Nuke, integrating 2D, 3D and live-action elements to a high-end visual effects standard
Strong eye for detail, composition, understanding of color and lighting
Able to understand and apply shot notes
Strong communication, organisation, interpersonal skills
A pro-active, collaborative and team-orientedwork ethic
Ability to multitask, prioritise and problem solve
Desirable Skills
:
Working knowledge of the overall VFX Pipeline
Knowledge about practical lighting and photography
Experience using ShotGrid
Experience using Linux
TCL Expressions and Python
