ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the single point of accountability for preparation, maintenance, and integrity of books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards and laws.
Oversee and ensure timely compliance with all statutory, legal, taxation, and secretarial requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, etc.), in coordination with consultants where applicable.
Ensure fairness, accuracy, and timely presentation of the company’s financial statements including PnL, Balance sheet & cash flow on monthly basis
Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures with strong monthly reviews and controls over provisions, accruals, and reconciliations.
Design, document, implement, and continuously improve finance-related processes, policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across accounting, procurement, payments, inventory, revenue, and compliance cycles.
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Internal Financial Control (IFC) framework covering all key financial and operational processes.
Conduct periodic testing of Internal Financial Controls to assess design adequacy and operating effectiveness, identify control gaps, and ensure timely remediation.
Monitor compliance with defined SOPs and ensure process discipline across departments impacting financial reporting.
Manage team for smooth operations of Accounts receivable & Accounts payable.
Ensure effective coordination with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants to enable smooth audits and regulatory reviews with zero statutory non-compliances and timely completion of statutory audit with clean report
Strengthen documentation standards to ensure audit readiness and transparency of financial processes.
Work closely with supply chain operations for all operational issues impacting accounts payables, or any tax/ compliances
Develop clean master data management of product, margin, vendor and customer masters with help from cross functional teams
Work closely with ERP project lead to implement ERP and stabilize with minimal impact to business
Strengthen accounts receivable and provisions process while guiding AR team , standardising credit policy and setting timely reconciliations and NDC process.
Supervise and manage daily accounting operations, providing guidance and oversight to the finance team

Financial numeracy
– You should be able to use excel for building business models and in delving into financials. You are someone who is curious about business and comfortable with numbers
Logical thinking – You must be willing to think through different pieces of the puzzle, and be willing to explore all the levers of the business

– You must enjoy working in an entrepreneurial team, where you need strong time management skills, and enjoy handling multiple deliverables in a fast-moving environment
Technical knowledge - Thorough knowledge of IFRS/ Accounting standards/ Tax & relevant accounting compliances
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
You will have a proven working experience as a financial controller in a corporate environment with overall accounting and finance experience of 8-10 years.
Must be a Chartered Accountant (with or without additional qualification)
Track record of managing minimum 4-5 people team
