Job Type:
Work From Office
Experience –
1 – 3 Years
Location:
Bangalore (Rajajinagar)
We're looking for a Marketing Designer who brings both craft and strategic thinking to the table - someone who understands that great design isn't just about aesthetics, but about building a brand that performs. You'll own Smytten's visual presence across platforms, leading design decisions grounded in audience understanding, platform behavior, and data - while contributing to both everyday content and bigger brand moments.
Roles & Responsibilities.
Organic & Brand Content-
You'll design across Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and blog formats for both Smytten's own channels and brand-promoted posts. The expectation is that you deeply understand Smytten's design language, apply it consistently, and continuously find ways to push the brand's visual presence forward.
In-App & Web Design -
You'll design banners, landing page creatives, and other in-app and web assets that support Smytten's marketing promotions and programmes.
Design Thinking-
You'll drive design direction across platforms - not just aligning with the team, but bringing a clear POV on creative strategy, platform trends, and what the brand should be doing next.
Copy -
We'd prefer it if you are adept at English, love reading, and have a strong standpoint on what constitutes good copy. Comfort with writing short-form copy to complement your designs is a big plus.
Other responsibilities:
Print media design
Skills & Experience
Design Craft -
You have a strong foundation in layout, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy, paired with a genuine aesthetic point of view. You're good at product photography editing and retouching, and you think about design not just visually but also in terms of how it serves the brand and the user.
Technical Skillset -
You're proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma, with solid product editing and retouching skills. You're comfortable with AI image generation and AI-assisted research tools as a core part of your workflow.
Strategy & Data -
You can read and interpret performance data, draw meaningful conclusions, and translate them into sharper design decisions. You don't just react to briefs - you help shape them.
Platform & Audience Understanding -
You have a thorough understanding of the platforms and people you're designing for researching audience behavior, content trends, and what works where, before opening the canvas.
Work Ethic & Communication -
You're reliable, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven. You can clearly communicate and present your design thinking to the team, and you're comfortable owning your work end to end.
Brownie points for the following:
Excellent graphic design skills with a strong, diverse portfolio.
Creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality.
Strong interaction, communication, and presentation skills.
Good practical experience with industry-leading software and technologies, such as Photoshop & Figma
Motion & Video: You have some experience with video editing- Premiere Pro or equivalent and understand how motion adds to a brand story.
Extended Design Disciplines: You have an eye for packaging and some familiarity with UI/UX - understanding how digital products are structured and why those decisions matter.
Strong abilities to comply with requirements of time, costs, and deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail, capable of delivering error-free content & designs
