About this role:
The Test Engineer position is responsible for building, executing, and automating test cases based on test plans and functional requirements across our products.
What you will do:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Build, execute, and automate test cases based on test plans and functional requirements
·
Conduct functional testing of new requirements and enhancements of applications
·
Perform peer reviews of test scripts, results and documentation
·
Interpret and report testing results and advocate for quality in every phase of the development process
·
Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
What you will need
Strong IT professional with 2-4 years of experience in ETL testing. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along with high on ownership and
accountability.
Must
have:
·
2+ years of QA experience
·
Strong knowledge in writing complex queries for validation of ETL process.
·
Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, including all types of joins, aggregations, window functions, and advanced filtering.
·
Proficiency in using SQL for data validation, profiling, and reconciliation.
·
Hands-on experience with Power BI for data visualization, and testing dashboards.
·
Ability to validate BI reports against source data and ensure data accuracy and integrity
·
Understanding of platforms like Azure Synapse Analytics.
·
Experience in testing data pipelines in cloud environments.
·
Experience with any of the tools such as iCEDQ, DataOps, QuerySurge, Informatica, Talend, or SSIS for automating ETL testing.
·
Ability to design and implement automated test cases for ETL processes.
·
Involvement in data migration projects, including planning, execution, and validation of migrated data.
·
Ability to perform row count, data integrity, and transformation validation during migrations.
·
Ability to interpret source-to-target mapping documents and convert them into test cases or complex SQL queries for validation.
·
Experience in validating mapping logic and ensuring accurate data transformation.
·
Perform data verification and reconciliation between source and target systems.
·
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure alignment with testing efforts.
·
Generate and maintain test data for various scenarios.
·
Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and data integration.
·
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Good to have:

Exposure to Data ops, Data bricks Tools
·
E
xperience in BI report testing using Business Objects, BI Publisher
·
G
ood to have Sql Server Management Studio exposure
Who you are
·
Graduate/Post graduate in BE/Btech, ME/MTech or MCA is preferred.
·
Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
·
Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
·
Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.
·
Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies
