We are seeking experienced and passionate Senior School English teachers to deliver high-quality English classes to students in Grades 9-12, promoting student achievement and engagement, and fostering a love for literature and language.
Key areas you will be responsible for/job description:
Co-create/develop and implement engaging and rigorous English language and literature curriculum for grades 9-12, aligned with the school’s academic standards and mission.
Deliver effective and engaging instruction in English language and literature to students, using a variety of teaching strategies and methodologies.
Monitor student progress and achievement in English language instruction, identify areas for improvement and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and Inventure’s leadership team
Collaborate with other teachers/team members to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate English with other subjects and areas of study.
Foster a love for literature and language among students, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills.
Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in English language and literature instruction and curriculum, attending professional development activities and conferences as needed.
Manage classroom resources, including textbooks, materials, and technology, and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress.
Competencies and job qualifications required:
Experience:
At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in the relevant subject area
Passion for English language, literature, and creative writing
Strong understanding of English literature, grammar, and syntax – should be able to explain complex literary concepts and grammatical rules in an accessible and engaging manner

Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field/subject.
B.Ed or any valid Teaching Certification preferred.
