Build and scale the engineering organization by hiring, onboarding various talent with varied technical backgrounds.
Develop the team through coaching, mentorship, and effective work assignments, fostering career growth and high-performance norms.
Collaborate with executive cross-functional leaders (Product Manager, UX, Finance) to align organizational goals and navigate complex technical trade-offs.
Advocate engineering excellence and operational health, ensuring the team builds scalable, performant, and maintainable systems.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
3 years of experience working in a changing organization.
Experience leading and mentoring a team of executive engineers or multiple workstreams.
Experience navigating ambiguous, open-ended problems and turning them into tractable solutions.
Knowledge of full-stack or client-side development, with familiarity in Google's internal stacks (server platform, Soy, Kotlin).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence beyond your direct organization.
