Job Description
We are seeking a Underground Design engineer (with a minimum of 4+ years of experience), specializing in Underground Structure Design with a strong understanding of geotechnical and structural principles. Duties and Responsibilities
To develop design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective solution.
To participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
To prepare technical reports including Technical Specifications, Design Basis report and other technical reports required for the project.
To ensure timely submission of the design deliverables.
To Track & monitor the progress w.r.t delivery timeline.
Excellent technical skills design.
Able to correlate and interpret the data shared by supporting interdisciplinary teams.
Problem solving skills, able to propose alternative solutions for problems encountered.
Experience in complete life cycle of a design project within Highway/Railway environment.
Able to work in a diverse team spread across different geographical locations.
Able to work on multiple projects.
Ensure Quality Check and Implementation of Engineering Procedure
Technical Requirements
Performing the design of Underground structures i.e. Station, Shaft, Cut & Cover structures, TBM Tunnels.
Calculation of retaining structures such as Berliner walls, micro pile walls, joint or secant piles, diaphragm walls, other types of retaining walls.
Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for Underground Structures, cross-sections, support systems, and lining structures/segments.
Conduct geotechnical assessments and incorporate ground support requirements into designs
Perform design calculations related to stability, Buoyancy, Embedment, crack width and other verification of underground Structures
Well verse with TBM tunnel Design
Review geological and geotechnical data to support design decisions
Planning and interpreting instrumentation and monitoring data.
Proficiency in geotechnical software like PLAXIS 2D, Rocscience
Proficiency in Structural Software like Staad, Robot, Oasis
Applying design codes such as Eurocodes and AASHTO.
Qualifications
* Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
* 4+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
