About the Role
We are seeking a Power BI Engineer to design and deliver enterprise analytics dashboards and semantic models as part of a large-scale cloud data platform. This role is responsible for building multi-domain reporting solutions in Direct Lake mode, developing DAX-based semantic models, and extending the analytics layer incrementally as new data domains are activated across the programme.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Power BI dashboards for multiple stakeholder personas including operations, compliance, executive, and audit audiences
Build and maintain enterprise semantic models using Power BI Direct Lake mode, connected to Azure Fabric Lakehouse Gold tables
Develop DAX measures covering domain-specific KPIs such as pass rates, SLA breach trends, MTTR, exception aging, and risk scores
Extend the semantic model incrementally as new data domains are activated, adding new KPIs without disrupting existing reports
Implement time-intelligence DAX patterns for trend analysis, quarterly review cycles, and historical comparisons
Design regulatory compliance overview dashboards aligned to standard audit requirements and evidence reporting layouts
Validate semantic model consistency and report accuracy following each deployment phase
Collaborate with Data Architects to align semantic model design with the enterprise data model and governance standards
Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing test datasets and validating dashboard outputs against known control results
Manage Power BI workspace configuration, dataset publishing, and access allocation across persona groups
